Vanessa Zamora Vazquez is a Chicana Visual Artist and Colchera.  Focusing on incorporating her traditional aspects and bringing them out into her contemporary pieces. Vanessa's great grandmother also made embroidery which she says holds a special place in her heart. Vanessa explains that being able to express yourself and show it to the world is such a special thing, especially when it comes to her work. "Sometimes my art can get a little weird, but I know there are plenty of weirdos out there that feel the same way I do." Holding her hands to her heart she points out that art comes  from the heart, and that is where she sends every piece out to the world from.
